Hotspurs Vegas adventure

Day1 : Las Vegas one of the most interesting places, it's not like usual city's which are filled with towering skyscraper buildings while Vegas is filled with skyscraping Hotel's and casino's. We first left Vancouver international airport sometime after school and around 6. After a short 2 hours and 30 minute plane ride we arrived in the gambling center of the world. After a few hours in the airport and rental car place we eventually went for some classic American food. At around 1 in the morning on Friday the 13th we went for some grub at a restaurant next to the hotel we were staying at. Our dinner came with entertainment, a gay fillipino man named Ray, some drunk American's singing karaoke, and a random Mexican asking if we wanted to go to a "tittie" bar in his limousine.
Day 2 : After getting to bed around 3 in the morning we then awoke sometime around 11 and we were ready to begin our day. We had to go buy groceries for our 5 day 4 night adventure. We left the store as happy customers by spending 202 dollars worth of groceries but thanks to Nick J's quick thing and signing up for the grocery store membership he saved us a mean 40 dollars! We got back and immediately started manging cereal we had just purchased. The rest of the day was spent at the outlet mall shopping.
Day 3 : Our soccer journey begins as we played and tied the Iowa selects 2 to 2, with Jake Classen getting the first goal and Myself getting the second. When we got back to the hotel and after Kim said its smart to have a ice bath to get ready for the next game Nick and I decided to try it out with Nathan following in after we had warmed it up! To describe it, it wasn't bad after 7 minutes had finished but any sudden movement gave us a shiver down the spine. We jumped in the vans and we set out to go play the second game of the day, Nevada Mexican academy. We jumped out to an early lead with a goal from myself just crawling across the line after i had put the ball through his legs. We ended up winning this game but not without a strong defensive game. We got back to the hotel everyone went down for a pool and hot tub before we headed towards the strip. As we were walking down the strip we were intrigued from all the world famous hotel's including, The Flamingo, The Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Paris, Mirage, New York New York, and of course my favorite The MGM Grand. The team except for Heather and I went on the New York New York roller coaster where Jun almost died from pissing himself with terror, and Nick J crying! We walked back where my room Nick J, Will VDB, Nathan Wilkins, and Dylan Achenson decided to chill while the other rooms had a little bit of fun;)! Everyone ended up going to bed around 3am to 4am.
Day 4 : Today we had our toughest challenge. The South California Brasil FC, they were the team to beat. The whole team was filled with Mexicans who all incredibly good individually. Even though we got pumped with possession we managed to stick out a tie. We had no shots and I don't think we even got it into there box except from a free kick from half. Our defense again dominated the other team with cheap shots and fouls anything to get Brasil FC off there game. Since we tied we didn't end up going through to the semi- finals because of Spencer's red card and a goal differential. After refreshing up for a few hours back at the hotel we went back to the field and pulled out a 2-1 win over the Colorado storm for our last game of the tournament. The game ended around 8:30 or so and when our room got back we went down to the pool and hot tub to relax and then to shower. When we got back we made our 6 steaks(only 22 dollars for 6 rib eye). They were excellent Nick! We ended the night lying in our beds(nick and I) watching a Nicolas cage movie that we still don't know what it's called(hes a chemical scientist at Alcatraz disarming bombs).
Day 5 : We woke up at a time i do not recall but we ate our food and the whole team scooted over to the same outlet mall we had visited on the second night. We spent the day there shopping. Monday night, was the night, we were to see the Blue man group. It was insane, funny, and epic. Highly suggest going if your in Vegas! After the show we got photo's with one of the Blue man. We all got in the van to go to see Fremont, an undercover casino, gift shop, and an extremely cool light show on the roof. After the light show we gathered ourselves into the car to go back to the hotel. We got back to the hotel and Kim, Andrea, and Jake's parents went back out to gamble. The team decided we needed to celebrate for our great tournament and trip. I'm not going to say anymore about the night, you can guess what happened from the pictures below.
Day 6 : Everyone awoke to the sound of the telephone ringing saying we all needed to be ready to sign out of the hotel by 11. It wasn't hard for me to get up but for a few others it was a challenge. We decided to spend the rest of the day cruising around the strip visiting the hotels and sight seeing. Around 7:30 we all headed for the airport after a delicious Denny's dinner. We arrived home with a need for sleep, a lot of pictures, 5th place in the Telemundo division, and some of the best times of our lives! Great job organizing and planning the trip Kim it was a huge success!
